    Asharqia Chamber approves the formation of business committees, and branch and executive councils.

    AlKhalidi: hopes placed on the members of the committees and councils to keep pace with the economic transformation.

     

    The Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber has approved the organizational structure of the business committees, branch councils, and executive councils affiliated with them.

    They are 14 sectorial committees as follows, Commercial Committee, Financial Committee, Real Estate and Development Committee, Training and Education Committee, Environment and Food Committee, Industry and Energy Committee, Communications and Technology Committee, Strategic Sectors Committee, Construction Committee, Logistics Committee, Health Committee, Lawyers and Consultants Committee, Hospitality and Leisure Committee. In addition to that the business councils of its branches in Jubail, Qatif and Khafji, the executive council for businesswomen, and also the executive councils of both business youth, men and women.

    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, congratulated the members of the committees and boards. He is wishing them more effective performance during the coming period. He stressed the importance of their role in presenting topics and issues, studying the challenges facing the private sector, and providing solutions to them. In fact, they are the most important communication channel between the Chamber and its subscribers on the one hand, and between the business sector and government agencies on the other. He pointed out that the Board of Directors of the Chamber has set among its objectives and priorities the activation of the role of the committees and supporting its work, programs, and recommendations in accordance with a professional work system supervised and followed up by both the Council and the Executive.

    Alkhalidi said, "Our hopes are for all members to continue the march of business committees, branch councils, and executive councils through achieving the successes that is desired by the business sector and the business community in the Eastern Province." He pointed out that the current stage, where implementation of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 to diversify the national economy through the optimal utilization of the available resources, requires greater effort of all the members of the committees and the councils that have been selected to work to keep abreast of the major changes taking place in the national economy in various sectors.

    Al-Khalidi thanked His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz (Governor of the Eastern Province), His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahad bin Salman (Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region), and Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi (His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment) for their support of Business in light of the support received by the business sector from the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

    The Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman Al-Wabil, congratulated the members of the committees and councils on their selection. And he wished them to help the Chamber in its journey and achieve its mission in providing high quality services that meet the aspirations of the business sector in the region and contribute effectively to the development of the region economically and socially.

    Al-Wabel said that the Chamber is working to develop the commercial, industrial, and service sectors in order to reach high levels in the provision of services to the participants and the economy in the region. He mentioned that the extent of the burden borne by the sectorial committees and councils in the service of the business sector are being competent to develop economic sectors of all kinds and follow-up of the common interests of economic establishments in the region. He said, "it is the window through which Asharqia Chamber of Commerce overlooks the business community in the Eastern Province."​
